Bionic Wines is the family of the brands from world-renowned vigneron, Christophe Baron. Starting with the critically-acclaimed Cayuse Vineyards located in the Walla Walla Valley Rocks District AVA, he championed “closed circle” farming and biodynamic farming methods.

Bionic Wines includes three other brands produced in the Walla Walla Valley - Horsepower Vineyards, No Girls Wines, Hors Catégorie Vineyards, and Champagne Christophe Baron, from Champagne, France.

All the Walla Walla Valley brands are created by Christophe and his team. They strive for uncompromising quality, realized through hard work in the vineyards, a light touch in the cellar, and an unwavering commitment to his terroirs that allows each site and variety to shine in unparalleled ways.

Christophe Baron, Vigneron

Christophe Baron grew up among the vineyards and cellars of his family’s Champagne house, Baron Albert. Educated and trained in Champagne and Burgundy, he first came to the Walla Walla Valley in his 20’s as an intern. During a return visit in 1996, he discovered an area littered with cobblestones (The Rocks District) and the idea for a domaine focused on creating world-class Rhône wines was born.

From the very beginning, Christophe farmed organically. In 2002, he became the first in the Walla Walla Valley to implement biodynamic farming. Christophe crushed his first biodynamic fruit in the 2005 vintage and has been using biodynamic farming techniques ever since.
